Discerning the function of craft at two shows in Brockton – The Boston Globe

Discerning the function of craft at two shows in Brockton – The Boston Globe.

Once again an exhibit of craft.  This time in a Craft Museum.  But real craft is not only handmade but functional?  So pushing the definition of craft into art takes it away from usefulness?  Like a chair you can’t sit on or a teapot that won’t pour tea.

I bet this is a great exhibit.  Wish I could be there.
