A POTTER’S CHRISTMAS EVE
‘Twas the morn of Christmas Eve when all through their house, the potter was packing pots, and so was his spouse.
The pop-corns and bubble-wrap were strewn on the floor, hiding the dogs and cats as they snored.
The coffee was cold in their well used mugs. The potters had lost them. Again! Oh well, they shrugged.
John had the order book and I had the scale, we settled into packing all the boxes, without fail.
When out on the driveway there arose such a roar , the dogs rushed and barked “What’s the score?”
On the way to the door John jumped over the mix, flung open the door and welcomed Fed-Ex!
Florescent lighting glowed on our stack of boxes, amazing the driver. We’ll get a wagon and help, we assured our newest best friend, who quivered.
Now Lily! Now Cleo! Now Coco and Jazz! Get over here and pull the red wagon real fast.
Dash the wagon right over to the White Fed Ex truck. The driver’s got treats for you, but alas, no ducks.
Boxes and packages are loaded and safe, the dogs are worn out, and the cat has escaped.
Our new BFF, the friendly Fed Ex driver, waved good-bye and yelled over the engine:
Happy Christmas to all and to all a GOOD NIGHT!
